Running Vista and SongBeamer 3.10b

When playing a video (MPEG2), the Preview option allows the video to be viewed in the SongBeamer Video area, but when projecting, the video is only present on the second monitor, not in the SongBeamer Video area.

That is "as designed".

This is for performance reasons, but also because of limititations in DirectShow and some display adapters. Apart from that, some videos refuse to play if we split up the signal to two monitors because of "copyright reasons" .

The limitation is that SongBeamer cannot play a video on both screens at the same time. But you should be able to play the video only on the second monitor.

Some computers require that you disable hardware overlay. You can find this option in SongBeamer: Tools->Options->Video -> "Disable hardware overlay (not recommended)

Windows Vista and Windows 7 include a new video renderer that is independent of hardware overlay. SongBeamer 3.0 will always use this new renderer in Vista/Win7. So you should not have this problem anymore if you're using Vista or Win7.
