Can't get audio from a DVD to play

I'm having problems getting the audio from a DVD to play. The video plays, just no sound. The audio/video plays fine using Dell Media Experience. This is a Dell Inspiron 9300wit 1Gig of ram XP Pro.
Any suggestions?

Some codecs are restricted to a certain application and refuse to work with SongBeamer and other applications because of that. In that case you need to find a DirectShow filter that works with SongBeamer like the free AC3Filter from
