RFE: allow 'blank' screens in songs to show full (not faded)

explaination: at our church, one of the things we use songs for is displaying scripture readings durning the sermon. We use a 'song' like a PowerPoint presentation. The first verse is the Sermon title, the next verse is blank, then next verse is the first scripture reading (the pastor has the congregation read them out loud) the next verse is blank, then a scripture reading etc, etc.

We select a background image for the sermon. This way we can present the scripture reading, then fade it to the background then at the correct time in the sermon, display the next reading.

Sometimes we have to fade the background image so the words will stand out, but this causes the background image to be faded for the blank 'verses'/ screens.

Suggestion: have a keyword in the verse that would control if the fade is applied to that particular verse.

Still think this is the easiest and best out there!

Have you tried mixing a song with a slide show?
  1. Open the "Tools" menu, then click "Customize", switch to the "Command" tab.
  2. Drag the "Mix Object" from the Beta category to your toolbar. Then close the customize dialog.
  3. Click on the "Mix Object" icon on your toolbar.
  4. Drag a slideshow from your schedule to the left part of the mix object panel
  5. Drag the song from your schedule to the left part of the mix object panel. The Song should be below the slideshow.
  6. When you click the "Open" button, SongBeamer will open the slideshow with the song on top.
Your slideshow could have the background picture either in full color or faded. The first page of the song will be mixed with the first picture of the slide show and so on...

update - ok, I see I have to create a SongBeamer slide show (FILE->New Slide Show) - I thought this was an XP slide show. This might just be the thing we need, thanks.

P.S. is there any more documentation on all the options and what they do?

Currently there is only the help file. Options from the Beta category are not documented.
