After installing Songbeamer I opened the program and the fonts were way too far to the left of the screen. So I went too tools, projection tab, and the text margin had to be adjusted, these are the numbers I ended up with to make it right, the upper had to be adjusted to "15", the right "0" the lower "0" and the left "500" is this normal or has it gone to extremes? All other films look normal since the adjustments.

No, that is not normal.

It could be that your projector did not recognize the image size correctly. In that case you can show the test screen (in SongBeamer: Presentation->Test Screen). Then press the "auto setup", "auto correction" or ... button on your projector or remote control.
